Mapping Future Workforce Competencies
Leaders must prepare a tech-savvy, agile, and resilient workforce, upskill across generations, focus on future competencies, and leverage AI and automation to drive high-performing teams in a constantly evolving landscape.
I think we are living through a fundamental transformation in the way we work. So, we need to assess how the workforce of the future looks like for our organisation. The factors or components of the workforce of the future are changing rapidly not only with the speed but also with the scope, significance, etc. and so the requirement of changing skills and competencies - starting from skill assessment for recruiting people or internally promoting, upskilling them and envisioning for a future workforce and leaders by those set of people. And the question that you need to ask as a Leader- who should lead our organisation down the line 10 years or 20 years not only from the pipeline point of view but also what kind of skill sets/competencies we are building for those people to lead the org?
Or possibly we need to reinvent not empirically but with more focus on Tech-savvy, agile and nimble mindset, leading change, resilience, leading with complexity, STEM skills (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and plurality, etc. keeping the generations in mind – as such how we can upskill Baby boomers and Gen X Vs. what skills we are looking at for Millennials and…
