Over the years, I’ve worked closely on technology, manufacturing scale-up, and industry strategy, particularly in the Indian solar ecosystem. My focus has been on bridging technical innovation with practical industry needs.

Q2. What major shifts are currently reshaping the global solar PV manufacturing landscape, particularly across the ingot, wafer, cell, and module segments?

We are seeing a few major shifts. First, while China still dominates, countries like India, the U.S., and Europe are pushing for domestic manufacturing. Second, companies are becoming more vertically integrated to control costs and supply chains. Third, there is a clear technology shift from PERC to TOPCon and HJT. Lastly, scale is increasing rapidly, and margins are under pressure due to intense competition.
